Today the White House announced that Suzan Harjo – a writer, curator, and activist who has advocated for improving the lives of Native peoples – has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the nation’s highest civilian honor –Congratulations Suzan!
Also announced this weekend, “The High-Z Supernova Search Team”, including astronomer Robert Kirshner, was awarded the 2015 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.
